Weronika Chodakowska

Weronika Chodakowska commenced her piano education at the Fryderyk Chopin State Primary School of Music in Warsaw with Tatiana Ste?pniak, after which she went on to study at the Fryderyk Chopin State Combined Schools of Music in Warsaw. She has won a plethora of prizes at national and international piano competitions in Poland and abroad: e.g. in Zabrze (2009), Szczecin (2009), Kielce (2009), Warsaw (2012), Moritzburg (2013) and Ragusa (2018), most notable amongst her recent laurels being the third prize at the International Gloria Artis Online Piano Competition in Vienna in 2020 and an honourable mention at the First International Online Instrumental Performance Competition in Toronto in 2021. 

She has appeared with recitals throughout Europe, and in 2008 she made her debut on the American continent performing a programme featuring compositions by Domenico Scarlatti, Fryderyk Chopin and Alexander Scriabin. She has appeared as a soloist with the accompaniment of the orchestra at the Oskar Kolberg Świętokrzyska Philharmonic in Kielce and at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin. Apart from her concert schedule, she is actively involved in a variety of educational projects, including ?Chopinoteka. Listening Workshops?, ?Fryderyk?s Radio Courier or Musical Puzzles for Toddlers? and ?Music from Chopin?s Homeland?. In 2020, she made world premiere recordings of piano compositions by Stanisław Moniuszko for Polskie Radio Chopin.
