Maryia Muryhina

Maryia Muryhina began the study of piano at the Children?s School of Music No. 2 in Brest. In 2013, she graduated with distinction from the Ryhor Shyrma State College of Music in Brest. Between 2015 and 2020, she studied with Joanna Domańska at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. During her studies, she was actively involved in a variety of academic concerts, such ?Piano Wednesdays? and ?Piano Department Students? Concerts?. Muryhina perfected her skills during workshops with Ivo Kahánek and Jonathan Powell. 

She has been a laureate of numerous competitions held in Belarus, Ukraine and Poland. Her major achievements include the third prize at the Leonid Margolin Republican Piano Competition in Minsk, the third prize at the Nina Mendelevska Republican Piano Competition in Mogilev, the second prize at the Juliusz Zarębski International Music Competition in Łomianki, an honourable mention at the Sixth Intercollegiate Chamber Music Competition for Instrumental Duos and Vocal Duos in Katowice (2019), the third prize at the First Jan Hoffman International Piano Competition in Kraków (2019) and an honourable mention at the Sviatoslav Richter International Piano Competition in Kyiv. She is also interested in historical performance practice.
