Martyna Kubik
Martyna Kubik began the study of piano with Aleksandra Dobrowolska-Schut at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Comprehensive Primary School of Music in Kraków. In 2017, she completed with distinction the Fryderyk Chopin State Comprehensive Secondary School of Music in Kraków, where she studied with Olga Łazarska. She is currently furthering her piano education with Zbigniew Raubo at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.
Kubik has been a laureate and finalist at a range of piano competitions, e.g. the Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk, the Fryderyk Chopin National Piano Competition in Warsaw, the National Piano Festival ?Youngsters Interpret Chopin? in Żychlin, the National Piano Competition in Konin, the Zachodniopomorskie Piano Competition in Szczecin, the Halina Czerny-Stefańska National Piano Contest in Żagań, the Halina Czerny-Stefańska and Ludwik Stefański Piano Competition in Płock and the Bela Bartók International Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Warsaw. In recognition of her success at the Żagań competition, she was invited to the United States, where she performed in New York in 2015. In 2017, she qualified for the international scholarship programme Morningside Music Bridge in Boston. She has appeared in concert alongside the Symphony Orchestra of the Silesian Philharmonic and the Gorzów Philharmonic Orchestra. She has held scholarships from the Polish Children?s Fund, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the President of the Council of Ministers, and the Małopolska Scholarship Fund ?Sapere Auso?.
