Krzysztof Kozłowski

Krzysztof Kozłowski studied with Elżbieta Raczkiewicz and Halina Rogalska at the State Combined Schools of Music No. 1 in Warsaw, and Anna Jastrzębska-Quinn at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. He also completed postgraduate studies with Andrzej Jasiński at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. He was the laureate of the Estrada Młodych (Stage for the Youth) at the Forty-Seventh Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk in 2013, and won the first prize at the Sixteenth Miłosz Magin International Piano Competition in Paris in 2015 and the third prize at the Fifth International Piano Competition ?Future Stars? in 2020, amongst other laurels. He is a member of the Hashtag Ensemble, with whom he performs the music of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries and has recorded several CD albums: Visegrad Songs, Trash Music, Network Music and #Witkacy. 

Kozłowski has performed in a number of countries, and domestically has appeared at the leading contemporary music festivals, such as the International Festival of Contemporary Music ?Warsaw Autumn? in Warsaw, the International Improvised Music Festival ?Ad Libitum? in Warsaw and the Musica Electronica Nova Festival in Wrocław. For more than a decade, he has also been perfecting his skills of an improviser; with the Hashtag Ensemble, he has been involved in the ?UrbScore? project, which is dedicated to improvisations inspired by architecture. Furthermore, he has garnered several prizes at national composition competitions in Poland, studied sound engineering, completed the Intercollegiate Multimedia Studies and spent many years working as a dance accompanist.
