Julia Dmochowska

Julia Dmochowska graduated from the Henryk Wieniawski Comprehensive Primary School of Music No. 1 in Poznań and the Mieczysław Karłowicz Comprehensive Secondary School of Music in Poznań, where she studied with Agata Malińska. In 2019, she enrolled at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań to study with Maciej Pabich. She has won numerous prizes and honourable mentions at national and international piano competitions: in Koło (2010), Szafarnia (2012), Warsaw (2012), Słupca (2013), Görlitz/Zgorzelec (2012, 2015), Sochaczew (2015), Żagań (2016), Łódź (2016), Żyrardów (2016), Trzciana (2017), Szczecin (2012, 2017), amongst other places. She also won the second prize at the Sixth International Festival of Contemporary Music for Children and Youth ?Silver Windowpane? in Kraków in 2014. 

Between 2015 and 2019 she performed in a piano duo with Barbara Dondajewska, and since October 2020 she has been collaborating in a piano trio with violinist Maria Gzyl and cellist Dominik Drewniak under the guidance of Michał Francuz and Marcin Suszycki at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. With both these line-ups she brought trophies from competitions held in Poland and other countries. She has been a double winner of the City of Poznań Award, and she has held scholarships awarded by the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage, and the Business and Professional Women?s Club Poznań.
