He completed the Gnessins Special Music School in 1999, where he studied under Vera Nossina. In the same year, he enrolled on the Moscow State Conservatory as a student of Prof. Lev Naumov, graduating with distinction in 2004. He has received an honourable mention at the Third International Tchaikovsky Youth Competition and been a winner of the International Music Forums in Athens (1996) and Paris (1998). He won an honourable mention and a special prize at the Second International Scriabin Competition in Moscow in 2000. He was a laureate of the Fourth International Horowitz Competition in Kiev in 2001 and a winner of the Fifth Sabitov Open Competition in Ufa in 2002. He was given an honourable mention at the Twelfth International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 2002, was a laureate of the International Competition Margaret Long - Jacques Thibaud in Paris in 2004 and won the Grand Prix of the Second International Balakirev Competition in Krasnodar in 2006.
