Pavel Dombrovsky

Pianist, multiple winner of international piano competitions. Performed in a number of European countries and numerous cities throughout the Russian Federation.

Pavel Dombrovsky completed the Gnessin State Musical College in Moscow, where he studied with Vera Nosina, and continued his music education with Lev Naumov at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, from which he graduated with distinction in 2004. He went on to complete postgraduate studies at the same institution under Andrei Diev.

The artist has been a multiple winner of international competitions. He won the Second Open Competition for Young Pianists in Saint Petersburg in 1996; twice, the International Music Forum: in Athens in 1996 and again in Paris in 1998; the Fifth Nariman Sabitov Open Competition for Musical Performers in Ufa in 2002 and the First Stanisław Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music in Rzeszów in 2019. He has also been amongst the winners of the Second International Alexander Scriabin Piano Competition in Moscow (special prize, 2000), the Fourth International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz in Kyiv (2001), the Sixty-First Marguerite Long?Jacques Thibaud Competition in Paris (2004), the Second International Mily Balakirev Piano Competition of Russian Music in Krasnodar (Grand Prix, 2006) and the Seventh International Piano Forum ?Bieszczady Without Borders? in Sanok (Złoty Parnas prize, 2014). Dombrovsky has also taken part in the Twelfth International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow (2002), where he was awarded an honourable mention.

The artist has performed in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Poland, France, Italy, Ukraine and the leading concert halls of Moscow, Saint Petersburg and other Russian cities. He is employed as an assistant professor at the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music in Moscow.
