Results of the 2nd Stanisław Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music

The jury of the 2nd International Stanisław Moniuszko Competition of Polish Music chose the winners in two categories - pianists and chamber ensembles.

In the pianist category, the winners were:

1st prize - Carter Johnson

2nd prize - Ivan Shemchuk

3rd prize - Michal Szymanowski

In the chamber ensemble category the winners were:

The concert of the Competition winners will take place on September 18 at 7 pm at the Artur Malawski Podkarpacka Philharmonic Hall in Rzeszów. The artists will be accompanied by the orchestra conducted by Massimiliano Caldi and Tomasz Chmiel. The concert will be repeated at 7 p.m. on September 20 at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw and will be the only non-streamed concert in this edition of the Competition.

The Stanisław Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music is organized by the Institute of Music and Dance and the Artur Malawski Podkarpacka Philharmonic in Rzeszów. The Competition is financed by the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport, and in partnership with the Marshal of the Podkarpackie Province, under the honorary auspices of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda. The Competition is a member of the Alink-Argerich Foundation?s piano competitions network.
