The duo of Sulamita Ślubowska and Maciej Słapiński was founded in 2017 at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, where the musicians were studying with Maria Szwajger-Kułakowska and Szymon Krzeszowiec. Their debut recital took place at the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra?s Chamber Hall in Katowice in November 2017. Ever since that time, the duo have taken part in numerous music events, such as the Second International Scientific and Artistic Conference ?Brahms ? the Secrets of Style? in Katowice (2018), the National Cultural Mixture Festival (Mikstury Kultury), the I AM Student Festival in Katowice (2019) and the Forty-Third Karol Szymanowski Music Days in Zakopane (2020). In 2019, participating in the Twentieth Łódź Kiejstut Bacewicz International Chamber Music Competition in the city of Łódź, the ensemble garnered two special prizes: for the best performance of a composition by Grażyna Bacewicz and the Karol Szymanowski Music Society Prize.
