Biskupska | Fiszer Duo

Konrad Fiszer ? flute

Emilia Biskupska ? piano

The members of the duo first met in 2020 at music events held in the city of Bydgoszcz. The passion for chamber music they shared resulted in their collaboration as the Biskupska|Fiszer Duo.

Emilia Biskupska graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where she studied with Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń and Jerzy Sulikowski. She is currently continuing her education at the same establishment with Radosław Kurek specialising in piano chamber music. She has won competitions both as a pianist (in Lugano, Milan, Rome, Sondrio and Konin) and a chamber musician (in Cherkasy, Moscow and Łódź). She has been a holder of multiple scholarships granted by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Centre for Artistic Education and the President of the City of Bydgoszcz. Since 2018, she has been employed by the Department of Stringed Instruments and Guitar at her alma mater, where she works as an accompanist in a violin class.

Konrad Fiszer graduated from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where he studied with Elżbieta Woleńska and Jerzy Mrozik, and from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. During his stay in Scotland, he worked with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. He has won prizes and honourable mentions at competitions held in such places as Padua, Sogliano al Rubicone, Piotrków Trybunalski and Sierpc, and he has been a laureate of the John MacGregor Flute Prize.
