Artesania Piano Duo
Martyna Kubik ? piano
Weronika Górska ?piano
The Artesania Piano Duo was formed in 2019 by two female students of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice: Weronika Górska and Martyna Kubik. Weronika Górska is a third-year BA student of Zbigniew Raubo and Łukasz Trepczyński. Her previous successes include prizes won at such competitions as the Irena Rolanowska National Piano Competition in Kraków, the International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition in Gdańsk and the National Piano Competition for Students of Primary and Secondary Schools of Music ?Master of the Keyboard? in Warsaw. Martyna Kubik is a first-year MA student of Zbigniew Raubo. She has been a prize winner or a finalist at such events as the Polish Piano Music Festival in Słupsk, the Fryderyk Chopin National Piano Competition in Warsaw, the National Piano Competition in Konin and the Halina Czerny-Stefańska National Piano Contest in Żagań. The duo have been awarded at several international music competitions, including the second prize at the Sixth North International Music Competition in Stockholm (2020) and the first prize at the Twentieth International Competition-Festival ?Music Without Limits? in Druskininkai (2020). At present, the duo?s repertoire strongly features Polish chamber music, which is a result of the artists? concert and competition schedule, as well as their willingness to promote music written by native Polish composers.
